What others Say
“Michael’s focus, passion, inspiring leadership and can do attitude [make him] a pleasure to work with and an incredible asset to any team he is a part of!”
Chantel Catapano Chair, Mercer Cares
“Michael is not only a talented designer with an excellent eye for spacing and typography, he's also committed with great spirit! I consider myself fortunate to have him as a co-worker, and fellow designer.”
Sandra Garrett Product Owner, Mercer Material
"ONLY amazing things to say about Michael! He is friendly, outgoing, and one of the most hard working people I have ever met. He puts heart into every thing he does and has a wide variety of interests. If you are at all into forms of athletics, art, or even technology, Michael is someone you would want to talk to. We have known each other for over two years and from working together and being friends outside of work I can say wholeheartedly that he is a great person to have around. Side and important note: Michael INVENTED a toy for children to learn multiplication… But he is a graphic designer. So really there are few people who are more versatile and open than Michael."
Malcolm Peacock Fine Artist
“I found Michael to be insightful, organized and dedicated to putting out a quality product… I have watched him skillfully take on new projects and initiatives with a keen ability to manage multiple clients. I've also been impressed with watching him not just gather requirements from clients, but also use his knowledge in visual design to provide the customer with alternative options that improve upon the original request. I'm looking forward to working with Michael on more projects.”

In the New York City Community
The photos below illustrate my commitment to bettering the lives of others through design.
I volunteered at the Lowline Lab, a prototype for the world’s first underground park. I helped facilitate design thinking sessions with Lower East Side residents and eventually designed a pitch deck for the Lowline team. Here’s what one community member wrote after participating in a workshop: "Thank you for hosting the event today, I really enjoy working with you and contribute to [sic] Lowline project. Thanks for all you [sic] efforts to build this great space and to make NYC a better place."
I’m an avid member of an LGBTQIA+ organization called Out in Tech. Beyond attending panels and networking events, I participate in Digital Corps design-a-thons. At each Digital Corps event I work with a team to build a website for an LGBTQIA+ advocacy group abroad. Websites like these help organizations push for equality, raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ issues, collect donations, carve out a safe space for youth, and establish emergency lifelines for LGBTQIA+ folks. The photo above shows the team I worked with to create a website for an advocacy group in Mexico.
I am the Global Design Lead for the Pride group at my office. In this role I design inclusive icons and branding materials for global distribution. I am also the chair of the New York City chapter of my office Pride group. I regularly organize volunteering, social, educational and client events focused on the LGBTQIA+ community. The photo above shows a dinner service event I organized at SAGE, the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults.
I am a passionate volunteer and sit on the committee for a volunteer organization in my community. The photo above was taken at the 2018 Covenant House Night of Broadway Stars at Lincoln Center. I was invited because of my commitment to homeless youth; earlier in the year I organized a panel for youth about “bringing your whole self to work.” I also helped youth run through practice job interviews so they would be prepared to enter the workforce.
